Hello Golfers, here is just a quick report over the season so far and plans for the coming days on the golf course.
It has been a slow start to the season, we had minus night temperatures through the first half of May which really slowed any prospect of growth on the greens. It has improved now over the last 10 days, but only slightly, and I have been reliably informed that we are a few weeks behind a normal schedule with regards to the weather.
This week I have been able to start working on the greens, with verti-cutting, spraying and fertilizing. Next week we hope to hole, sand and seed the greens. The weather is forecast to warm up towards the end of next week, let us hope that it does, and that we can, in turn, get the season properly underway.
